Top Toys for the Holidays 2017
Our house is an interfaith family, although my husband would argue that it isn’t. That said, he grew up not celebrating Christmas and has therefore taken it upon himself to go over the top. Every. Single. Year. We have our pre-Christmas discussion about wants, needs and budget. But two days before the “big day” that all seems to fly out the window. That’s how I ended up with a giant ride-on dinosaur in my basement.
If you don’t want a giant ride-on dinosaur in your basement, take a look at these five options for this year:
1. LOL Surprise Tots. There are several types and Series 1 and Series 2 available. This seems to be the #1 item on many children’s list, my daughter included. What is it, you ask. It’s a SURPRISE! JK, it’s a doll. In fact, the L.O.L. Surprise! Big Surprise is being deemed this year’s Hatchimal.
2. Nerf Rival Nemesis MXV11-10K Blaster. The holidays are not the holidays in our house without a crazy Nerf gun war of some kind. On days when it’s too cold to venture outside for long, we bring the crazy inside with Nerf wars.
3.Soft N’ Slo Squishies Sweet Shop. My kids started talking about these during the fall. They dragged me into the store to show me. I don’t get it. But they like them.
5. Scoop & Learn Ice Cream Cart Playset. Our family friends have asked for this for their little one. From LeapFrog, this interactive toy allows children to create their own sundaes and use the cash register.
6.Star Wars – Hero Droid BB-8 – Fully Interactive Droid. This toy kills two birds with one stone. Fun for the kids and the parents! Just over 16″ tall, this toy has built in voice-recognition and comes with a remote. He also reacts to key phrases and comes when called. Why can’t anyone in my house do that?! It’s an investment in fun.
